Ji Ruoxiao was honored at the First National Art Exhibition of Chinese Landscape Painting with the Selected Work Award, and she received the Maple Leaf Award at the Oriental Sumi Art Exhibition. Her paintings are in the collection of the Chinese Art Museum, in Beijing, and in 1995 she was one of two Chinese artists whose work was chosen for the art exhibition at the Fourth United Nations World Conference of women. She is the author of three books on the theory and technique of Chinese brush painting and has lectured at the University of California at Berkeley, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Washington State University.
