Rodolfo Mendoza-Denton holds a PhD in social psychology from Columbia University and is currently an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He was born in Mexico and raised in the Ivory Coast, Thailand, and the United States, travels which cemented an early interest in culture and intergroup relations. His professional interests include stereotyping and prejudice from the perspective of both target and perceiver, intergroup relations, and cultural psychology. He is the co-editor of Are We Born Racist? and lives in the San Francisco area.
