Unitarian Universalism calls on us to create multicultural, antiracist communities that are both liberating and radically inclusive. The Work of Antiracism includes two paired pamphlets, one for people of color and one for white people, as we journey to create a new way. In “Unitarian Universalists of Color: Living into a Groundbreaking Journey,” Mark Hicks examines what it’s like to be a Unitarian Universalist of color and outlines the many ways that people of color can join intentional communities within Unitarian Universalism that help them flourish and lead lives rich with meaning and promise. In “Beyond Diversity: Calling White Unitarian Universalists to the Work of Dismantling White Supremacy in Our Faith,” Joy Berry discusses the importance of dismantling white supremacy in our faith communities and provides resources for white people as they commit to this vital work.
